Prior to joining BPS Recovery in 2016, Nick worked with other leading national insolvency firms, and has gained broad experience in advising stakeholders to assist in the sale of businesses, trade-ons and in the conduct of formal insolvency administrations. He’s been in corporate insolvency since 2009, with experience across the property, manufacturing, retail and hospitality industries.
Nick is responsible for the day-to-day management of all matters in the corporate insolvency department: from creditor reports and forensic analysis to working with managerial staff to make decisions and provide recommendations, delegating tasks and reviewing colleagues’ work. A dedicated fan of soccer, AFL and tennis, Nick knows a thing or two about team spirit – he fosters positivity in the office and encourages everyone to work together. A big believer in leading from the front, Nick’s known for his determination, and is the go-to man when his team need advice, instructions, or help to put together a fair timeline for getting something done. Nick’s also a skilled juggler, able to accommodate changing priorities in order to assist the team.
Nick’s passionate about people, and believes that the best way to get to the heart of what they’re after is to get out of the boardroom and have a chat over lunch. He enjoys working with stakeholders and is known for his ability to have a laugh with just about anyone.
Always one to work toward a goal, Nick lists achieving his tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Accounting and Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Accountants) among his career highlights. He’s also enjoyed working on a range of administrations, small to medium liquidations and turnarounds, and building his knowledge across a range of industries.
